Hebrews 10:23 says, “Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)”. Faith is the key to holiness and must be lived out. Life is not just physical actions but also the words that are released as we breathe. Our lives are the sum total of every thought thought, every word spoken, and every action taken. The value of our lives is tied to the quality of those thoughts, words, and actions. According to Hebrews 10:38, the just will live by faith. Isn’t it about time we specialize in what God has given us to gain victory in every area of our lives?

Webster’s Ninth Collegiate Dictionary defines “profession” as “a calling requiring specialized knowledge and often long and intensive academic preparation”. The word “profession” in Hebrews 10:23 is also translated to be “confession; acknowledgement.” You have an assignment to fulfill that does require special knowledge and it will have some intensive, lifelong training. Mathew 11:28-30 says, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and you shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Your calling is to glorify God; and your training, Christ. We are Christ’s disciples and He, as our rabbi, desires that we mimic Him in all of our ways: thoughts, actions, and especially words.

When we live our lives, what we say is critical. Our words will either bear witness to our deliverance or provide ammunition to the accuser for our execution (Matthew 12:37). Our holiness is a marriage to God—agreement. Our words have to demonstrate that agreement with God. After all, faith only comes when you intelligently hear what God is saying. God has a word for every situation in our lives. Our jobs are to learn of Him until we get what he is saying. His words are spirit: they are supernatural. Many times, we may encounter a test that does not align itself with what He promised. The test itself is for our development. We must realize that, with every problem, stands what He said. One of these (the problem or the promise) will be greater in our vision. We must learn to acknowledge the facts but exalt the truth. Facts can change and be twisted for a particular purpose, but the truth is constant.

Speaking aloud throws words into the atmosphere that can be heard. The words heard command thoughts, and thoughts produce images that are acted upon. Your words heard, in you, produce a mental image of your deliverance, which gives you confidence for the direction you are given. In heaven, your words split the atmosphere and give the host of heaven (angelic armies) an assignment. The power of confession, though, does not rest in words alone but in the blood of Christ that settles and establishes the promise and covenant.

Seek God in order to learn of Him what He says about your challenge. After you know what He says, season your words so that you agree with Him. Make saying what He says and doing as He leads your daily living and purpose. Here is a faith profession for favor. It is for your benefit and to silence your accuser. A faith confession says that I take to my heart and hold desperately to what God has said and promised. “Heavenly Father, I thank you that you will surround me with favor like a shield and, in your favor, I have life. I thank you that I will continue to grow up in you and find favor both with you and men. Father, I thank you that, because of favor, people are using their resources (knowledge, wealth, and connections) on my behalf and for my good. I also thank you that, even as you did with Esther, you will do with me that I will find favor with kings (decision-makers) and all those that look upon me and those things that pertain unto me. Let the position and stature that I gain through you favor position me for your will, purpose, and praise. Amen. (Psalm 5:12; Psalm 30:5; 1 Samuel 2:26; Esther 2:15-17)

Walk with Christ, learn of Him, and live the faith!

Read John 4:21-24 and Isaiah 6:1-8

Truth, from the Greek aletheia, is that which is not hidden or that which has not escaped notice. It is reality, sincerity, integrity, accuracy, dependability, and truthfulness.

Salvation, from the Greek soteria, means deliverance, preservation, soundness, prosperity, happiness, rescure, and general well-being. This term refers both to the natural and the supernatural.

God intends for us to experience soteria by putting our perspective in Him.

He causes us to experience soteria when receiving a revelation of Him is our focus and priority.

What happens when we worship?

We experience the activity of heaven and are invited to share/join in spiritual worship

We see Him for WHO He is (We experience a revelation of His person)

We see our true condition

We are humbled in view ourselves in the light of His holiness

God responds with mercy and grace to prepare us to draw nearer and to fulfill His purpose

God SPEAKS! Here, we are invited to fulfill His mission and to be commissioned by Him to do the supernatural

Worship makes us sensitive to the will of God and prepares us to say, “Yes”.

Okay, let me explain what “Disciple-Rabbi” means. Earlier this year, I founded my ministry Disciples of Christ Global Outreach, Inc. (dcgoinc.org) to help edify the body of Christ and to intercede through the power of His name. The Lord gave me this concept of the “disciple-rabbi” some time ago while I was writing a book that will be released when the Lord gives me a release to do so. I understand that I am a disciple of Christ (disciple) and a teacher of men (rabbi). The term rabbi is often considered Jewish, but, as Christians, we have been grafted into the Jewish family tree. Rabbi has a stronger meaning than teacher or preacher. A rabbi teaches and trains men and women up to spiritual maturity and does so through relationship (just as Christ did with His disciples). Christ did not make disciples from afar but through personal relationships that blossomed and, through those relationships, the lives of men were forever changed to the glory of God our Father. In my ministry, I will serve the body as a disciple-rabbi, where I will continue to grow and develop through Christ by my relationship with the Spirit and I will help other believers to become mature. Discipleship in my own life is paramount. Personal discipleship by Christ through the Holy Spirit fuels my ability to disciple (Read Isaiah 50:4). The term “disciple-rabbi” acknowledges the fact that, without Him, I cannot fulfill my calling. Moreover, without His lordship over me, I will be ineffective in teaching others to live under His lordship.

With this, I remind myself of my assignment. To those to whom I minister, I shall be a servant. Before God, I will be humble and contrite, ever listening intelligently to the voice of the Lord. I will make disciples of all nations and teach them to observe that which I have heard intelligently (Matthew 28:19). Grace and peace to you!

We have to understand the value of the cross as it relates to our growth and development. The cross was not just the place where Christ ultimately laid down His life for sinful mankind, but the significance of the cross is the development of a relationship with the Father that changes us as we fully embrace the cross. There are a few basic relationships with the Father that have significance in our view of the cross. There are enemies, bond servants, servants, disciples, and sons.

The enemies of God are those who reject the cross as a means of redemption. The gospel is foolishness to them because their natural logic cannot support neither the need for salvation nor the means by which the cross became the ransom for our sinful nature and sinful life practices.

Bond servants are those embrace the cross and recognize the debt that they owe to Christ for what He did at the cross. Unfortunately, bond servants tend to act as slaves, always bound to the debt of the cross. They are caught up in the cycle of sin and repentence. This causes them to never embrace the cross in a manner that leads to progressive growth in Christ. The impact of the cross was never meant to be static or stationary but dynamic and progressive.

The servant, out of his love, bears the cross and utilizes it as a tool to fulfill the will and desire of His master. This type of servant finds life and joy in the cross. He understands the value of the cross and works to prove his appreciation for this gift through loving service. Because of the servant’s zeal, he may try to serve the Lord in his own strength and power. Therefore, the cross is more weighty for the servant because he bears the weight of it alone, thinking that Christ’s work was solely the death of the cross and that he is responsible for carrying the cross further in his life.

The disciples is both servant and friend. He has a revelation of the cross that helps him to understand the Christ did not desert him to bear the cross alone. In fact, the cross becomes a basis of relationship and the coming to knowledge of His savior. The disciple bears the cross but not in his strength alone. The disciple is yoked with Christ to bear the cross. In this yoke, he learns the identity of Christ through true intimacy and fellowship.

The son is no longer burdened by the cross but celebrates the cross for what it truely was in the beginning–a path, a door, a bridge, a stairway to lordship. The son becomes one with the cross and resurrected by the Father to a place of rule and reign.

The cross was never meant to bring death and bondage but life and freedom. It is through the death of the cross that we put to death the sin that dwells in us and receive the breathe of God to become sons who exercise His life, liberty, and reign.

My prayer today is that you get a new revelation of the cross that causes you to become a true son by faith.

Walk with Christ, learn of Him, and live the faith!
